Carrying a few spare clothes can help if you get wet

Taking a few items of spare clothing can be a lifesaver if you or a companion becomes wet and cold. See section on hypothermia.


Clearly you can't take spare everything, but items to consider include: 







Remember: If you get wet and cold, having dry clothes next to your skin can reduce heat loss by 25 times when compared to having on a wet top.


Also remember to keep spare kit dry inside your rucksack - in a dry bag.
